Gravity Die Casting

At Roston Castings, we offer high performing die casting in a range of applications and industries. Die casting offers an effective, efficient and affordable alternative to sand casting and high pressure casting, meaning we can help save you time and money in your next project.

Industries

We have extensive experience in a range of technically demanding industries  including automotive, aerospace, agriculture, rail, food production, engineering and construction. In industries like these, quality is crucial and we offer the highest quality aluminium castings to meet their requirements.

High Pressure vs Gravity Die Castings:

Gravity Die Casting offers a number of benefits over High Pressure Casting. The former allows the metal to cool slower and therefore more evenly resulting in a higher density casting, with fewer porosity issues meaning it’s more durable.

A controlled filling process allows for tighter tolerances, consistent dimensions and a reduced need for secondary machining meaning it’s often the most versatile and cost-effective option.

Finishing

At Roston Castings, we offer an in-house finishing process, removing the needs for time consuming and costly contractors; the parts go straight from casting to finishing without leaving our foundry. This allows us to keep production costs low while controlling quality at every stage of the process.

QA

Quality is at the heart of everything we do. We pride ourselves on ensuring meticulous detail is taken at every step of our casting process. Our team includes experienced quality assessors dedicated to checking the quality of components.

Throughout our process, we have multiple QA checkpoints – from casting to finishing through to packing. As a sign of quality to our customers, final documentation is issued during final checks.
